If You Dont Track Your Diet? You Are Wasting Your Time
I know via portions that a bowl of oats is such and such calories and how it adds into my total daily allowance. People don't track their diets, don't calculate their calories and just guess at what they need. At the end of the day, I know roughly that I'm 20% below my maintenance for fat loss and 20% above for weight gain. Maybe one week you'll eat less and lose a
pound. The next on vacation you'll overdo it and gain 5 pounds.

Changing Your Eating Habits
I have slowly improved my eating habits over the years. The change is just too drastic and makes it next to impossible for us to stick to our diets. Water for Cola, Baked potato for Fries, Whole Wheat for white bread, Soy Milk for cow's milk, pretzels for chips, salads for desserts, Meal replacement shake for cereal, and the list goes on and on. They are much tastier than grease drowned fries. I actually started enjoying the baked potato rather quickly.

Weight Loss Strategies
When exercise is done slowly to moderately for 20 to 30 minutes, then the majority of energy is TAKEN from the fat stores. Don't go any lower and check the mirror regularly to judge your progress. Cutting back on your calories too low will cause the body to lower its metabolic rate, which reduces
its ability to burn fat. This would Lower Your Metabolism causing greater muscle loss and once the diet was broken the original fat returned, and you would have greater chance of gaining even more fat. Your energy will be then coming from your carbohydrate reserves and not from your fat stores.

Childhood Obesity Is Everyones Problem
Advertise healthier choices such as whole-grain cereals, and foods that are low in sugar. Prove that weight loss need not involve temporary restrictive diets. Instead of focusing on a diet for one child in the family, focus on improving the health of all family members by removing junk foods from the home, and preparing or purchasing meals that are low in fat and sugar. Stop targeting ads for junk foods to children. If parents are overweight, make sure they understand the health risks for themselves and their children.

Polyunsaturated Fats - Polyunsaturated fats are found in sunflower, corn, and soybean oils. Low-density lipoproteins (LDL), carry cholesterol from the liver to the rest of the body.
